Art Pictures!
The Nebraska Art Teachers Association (NATA) hosted a Youth Art Month (YAM) exhibit in the state capital this March. The State Capital YAM celebration featured K-12 artwork from across the state. Each art educator was able to submit two pieces from two students at their school. For Shickley School, 6th grader Alyssa Nolt's tempera painting and 3rd grader Brianna Jorgenson's mixed media print were shown. These students were recognized in a reception and ceremony at the capital's rotunda on Saturday, March 22nd, 2014 at 2 p.m. In addition, the students' artwork is displayed on www.artsonia.com, an on-line student art gallery, for the Nebraska NATA YAM 2014 exhibit.
