Youth Art Month is held every year in March. The Nebraska Art Teacher’s Association (NATA) celebrates by hosting an exhibit in the State Capital building in Lincoln. Every art teacher in the state can select two student artworks to represent their school in this exhibit. Congratulations to this year’s Shickley School artwork representative, sixth grader Ashley Schlegel and second grader Owen Beavers! Ashley created a stippled drawing of a wolf, and Owen created a “camouflage creature” project also in marker. Their artwork will be displayed from March 14^ththrough the 25^th in the lower Rotunda of the Capitol building. They will also be honored at a ceremony on Saturday, March 25^th at 2:00 p.m.
